Game Service Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between CrayStream (the “Company”) and users, and the conditions and procedures for using the games and all related services provided by the Company. Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The original Korean version is the governing text: if there is any inconsistency between the two, the Korean version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law (Article 29).

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between CrayStream (the “Company”) and users, as well as the conditions and procedures for use and other necessary matters, in connection with the game service provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

(1) The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.

  1. “Game Service” (the “Service”) means the games developed and operated by the Company and all related services, including the website (craystream.com), customer support, and notices.
  2. “User” means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service provided by the Company.
  3. “Device” means a device on which the Service can be downloaded, installed, and used, such as a smartphone or tablet.
  4. “Account” means an identification unit assigned to identify a User and manage game data, including guest accounts created without a separate sign-up procedure and accounts linked to authentication provided by a Platform Operator (such as social login).
  5. “Content” means all tangible and intangible materials provided within the Service, such as games, items, in-game currency, and characters.
  6. “Paid Content” means Content that a User purchases for consideration.
  7. “Open Market” means a platform through which games can be installed and payments can be made, such as Google Play or the App Store.
  8. “Platform Operator” means a party that provides functions such as authentication or payment in connection with the use of the Service, including Open Market operators and social login providers.
  9. “Operating Policy” means the detailed standards separately established and announced by the Company as necessary to apply these Terms.

(2) Terms not defined in Paragraph (1) have the meanings given by applicable laws and general commercial practice.

Article 3 (Provision of Company Information)

The Company posts its trade name, the name of its representative, contact details (such as email), these Terms, and the Privacy Policy on the website or on a screen linked from within the Service so that Users can easily check them, or provides them upon a User's request. Business information required to be displayed under applicable laws is displayed in the manner prescribed by those laws. The Company's primary contact channels are the Support page and email (support@craystream.com).

Article 4 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

(1) The Company posts these Terms on the website or on a screen linked from within the Service so that Users can easily check their contents.

(2) The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that the amendment does not violate applicable laws of the Republic of Korea, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Game Industry Promotion Act, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, and the Content Industry Promotion Act.

(3) When amending these Terms, the Company announces the effective date, the amended provisions, and the reasons for the amendment in the manner described in Paragraph (1) from at least 7 days before the effective date. If the amendment is unfavorable to Users or materially changes these Terms, the Company announces it from at least 30 days before the effective date and, where practicable, additionally notifies Users through in-game notices or similar means.

(4) If the Company, when announcing the amended Terms under Paragraph (3), clearly states that a User who does not express refusal within the announcement period will be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms, and the User does not express refusal by the effective date, the User is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

(5) Users have the right not to agree to the amended Terms. A User who does not agree may stop using the Service and terminate the use agreement in accordance with Article 22.

Article 5 (Rules Other Than the Terms)

(1) Matters not provided for in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms are governed by applicable laws, the Content User Protection Guidelines of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, and general commercial practice.

(2) The Company may establish Operating Policies for individual games or services and announces them in the game or on the website. Operating Policies set out matters delegated by these Terms and details necessary for their implementation; any part of an Operating Policy that conflicts with these Terms to the disadvantage of Users has no effect.

Chapter 2. Formation of the Use Agreement

Article 6 (Formation of the Use Agreement)

(1) The use agreement is formed when a User agrees to these Terms and applies to use the Service — for example by installing and launching a game or creating an Account — and the Company accepts the application.

(2) The Company may refuse or withhold acceptance in any of the following cases, and may terminate the use agreement if any of Items 1 through 3 is discovered after acceptance.

  1. The application was made by misappropriating another person's information or payment method
  2. The Service is sought to be used in violation of applicable laws or for an improper purpose
  3. The applicant has previously been subject to a restriction of use or termination for violating these Terms
  4. There is no spare capacity in Service-related facilities or there is a technical impediment
  5. Acceptance is otherwise inappropriate for reasons comparable to the above

(3) Use of the Service may be restricted according to game rating classifications and the age ratings of the Open Market, and the Company may determine the countries and regions in which the Service is offered.

Article 7 (Management of Accounts and Devices)

(1) Users are responsible for managing their Accounts and Devices and must not allow third parties to use them.

(2) A guest account is tied to the Device or to data stored on the Device. If you delete the game, change, reset, or lose your Device without linking your Account (for example via social login), your game data may not be recoverable, and in such cases the Company does not guarantee recovery of the data.

(3) Users may not transfer, sell, lend, or pledge their Accounts to third parties. The Company is not liable for disadvantages arising from a violation of this paragraph unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

(4) If a User's account information, such as a nickname, violates laws or public order and morals or infringes the rights of others, the Company may require the User to change it or may take interim measures such as changing or restricting it.

(5) If a User becomes aware that their Account has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the User must immediately notify the Company and follow the Company's guidance. The Company is not liable for damages aggravated by a failure to notify or to follow such guidance, unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 8 (Use by Minors)

(1) The Service is, in principle, offered to persons aged 14 or older. Where consent to the collection and use of personal data is required for a user under 14 to use the Service, the Company follows the procedures prescribed by applicable laws, including obtaining the consent of a legal representative.

(2) A minor who wishes to purchase Paid Content needs the consent of their legal representative, and payments made without such consent may be canceled in accordance with Article 19.

Article 9 (Protection of Personal Data)

The Company endeavors to protect Users' personal data as prescribed by applicable laws. Applicable laws and the Company's Privacy Policy apply to the processing of personal data. The Company's Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services linked from the Service.

Chapter 3. Obligations of the Parties

Article 10 (Obligations of the Company)

(1) The Company complies with applicable laws and these Terms and uses its best efforts to provide the Service continuously and reliably.

(2) If an opinion or complaint raised by a User is objectively recognized as justified, the Company handles it within a reasonable period and informs the User of the result through the Support page, email, or similar means.

(3) The Company does not provide Users' personal data obtained in connection with the Service to third parties without the User's consent, except through lawful procedures under applicable laws.

Article 11 (Obligations of Users)

(1) Users must not engage in any of the following acts.

  1. Misappropriating another person's information or entering false information when applying for use or linking an Account
  2. Using, creating, distributing, or advertising unauthorized programs, devices, or methods not provided by the Company (macros, cheat programs, memory tampering, packet manipulation, etc.)
  3. Exploiting bugs or errors in a game or spreading them to other Users
  4. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the game client or server, or reproducing, modifying, or distributing all or part of the Service without authorization
  5. Manipulating scores, rankings, or rewards by abnormal means, or fraudulently manipulating advertising-related systems such as rewarded-ad rewards
  6. Overloading the Service, servers, or networks, or interfering with their normal operation
  7. Infringing the intellectual property rights, honor, credit, or other rights of the Company or third parties
  8. Trading Accounts, game data, or Content for consideration (real-money trading) without the Company's approval, or brokering or advertising such trading
  9. Impersonating the Company's employees or operators
  10. Using nicknames or other information containing content that violates laws or public order and morals, or that includes profanity, discriminatory, or hateful expressions
  11. Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Company's approval
  12. Any other act that violates applicable laws, these Terms, or the Operating Policies

(2) Users must regularly check and comply with matters announced by the Company in connection with the Service.

(3) If a User violates Paragraph (1), the Company may restrict the User's use of the Service or terminate the use agreement in accordance with Article 23, and may claim compensation for damage caused to the Company by the violation.

Chapter 4. Use of the Service

Article 12 (Provision and Modification of the Service)

(1) The Company provides the Service to Users with whom a use agreement has been formed. In principle, the Service is provided 24 hours a day, year round, but may be suspended for certain periods for operational needs such as maintenance.

(2) The Company may modify all or part of the Service as needed for game planning and operation (adding or revising content, balance adjustments, bug fixes, etc.). Standards for acquiring in-game currency or items and the effects or performance of Content may change in the course of operating the game; if a change is material or unfavorable to Users, the Company gives prior notice in the game or on the website.

(3) The Company may offer a test (beta) service before official launch. Due to its nature, a test service may be changed or discontinued without notice and its game data may be reset; the Company gives notice of this when providing the test service.

(4) The Company may require game updates as needed to provide the Service. The Company is not responsible for limitations on use of the Service arising from a User's failure to install an update.

Article 13 (Suspension and Termination of the Service)

(1) The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in any of the following cases. In the case of Item 1, the Company announces the schedule in advance; in urgent cases where prior notice is impracticable, such as Items 2 through 4, notice may be given afterwards.

  1. Where necessary for Service operation, such as regular system maintenance, server expansion or replacement, or program updates
  2. Where necessary to respond to unexpected instability of the Service, such as electronic intrusions (hacking), telecommunications failures, or abnormal usage patterns
  3. Where there is force majeure such as a natural disaster, power outage, or failure of Service facilities
  4. Where applicable laws prohibit provision of the Service or a government agency so requests

(2) The Company may terminate the provision of the entire Service for business reasons, such as closure of the business or serious difficulty in operating the Service. In that case, the Company announces the termination date, the reasons, and the plan for handling Paid Content in the game or on the website no later than 30 days before the termination date.

(3) When terminating the Service under Paragraph (2), the Company operates a customer response channel for at least 30 days from the termination date to handle refunds of Paid Content that Users have not used or whose usage period remains (including Paid Content with no fixed usage period). Refund standards and procedures follow Chapter 5, applicable laws, and the Content User Protection Guidelines.

(4) The Company is not liable for damage caused by a temporary suspension under Paragraph (1) unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 14 (Advertisements)

(1) The Company may display advertisements on in-game screens, the website, and elsewhere in connection with operating the Service.

(2) The Service may include advertisements that grant in-game rewards on condition that the User watches them (rewarded ads). Rewards are granted when viewing is completed normally; rewards may not be granted if viewing is not completed normally due to network errors, circumstances of the advertising provider, interrupted viewing, or similar causes.

(3) Advertisements shown in the Service are provided by third-party advertising businesses (such as ad networks), and responsibility for the content of advertisements and for third-party sites and services linked through them lies with the relevant advertiser or advertising business. Any transaction between a User and a third party made through an advertisement is a legal relationship between that User and the third party, and the Company is not liable for resulting damage unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 15 (Intellectual Property)

(1) Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service and its Content (games, graphics, characters, music, programs, trademarks, logos, etc.) belong to the Company (including Content lawfully licensed from third parties).

(2) The Company grants Users a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the games and Content to the extent necessary to use the Service. In-game currency, items, and other Content are provided to Users in the form of a right to use them within the Service, not as ownership, and Users may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit them, or use them for commercial purposes, without the Company's prior approval.

(3) Nicknames, game records, and other information entered or posted by Users in the Service may be used to the extent necessary to operate and provide the Service, such as displaying rankings (leaderboards).

(4) The license under Paragraph (2) expires when the use agreement ends (upon termination, end of the Service, etc.).

Article 16 (Loot Boxes / Probability-Based Items)

If the Company offers probability-based items (loot boxes) in a game, the Company displays the types of probability-based items and the supply probability for each type in the game or on the website, as prescribed by applicable laws including the Game Industry Promotion Act of Korea.

Chapter 5. Purchase and Use of Paid Content

Article 17 (Purchase and Payment of Paid Content)

(1) Where the Company offers Paid Content, Users may purchase it using the payment methods provided by the Open Market operator. Payment methods, limits, and procedures may vary according to the Open Market operator's policies.

(2) The purchase price of Paid Content is charged and billed according to the methods and policies set by the Open Market operator.

(3) If a usage period for Paid Content is separately indicated at the time of purchase, that period applies; if no period is indicated, the usage period runs until the date the Service is terminated.

(4) Paid Content can be used only in the Account that purchased it (or, for games without accounts, the relevant game data), and may not be transferred, lent, or sold to third parties.

Article 18 (Withdrawal of Purchase)

(1) A User may withdraw a purchase (cancel an order) of Paid Content within 7 days from the purchase date or the date the content became available, whichever is later.

(2) Notwithstanding Paragraph (1), withdrawal may be restricted in the following cases as prescribed by applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of Korea. In such cases, the Company indicates on the purchase screen or elsewhere that withdrawal is restricted.

  1. Paid Content that is used immediately upon purchase or applied immediately to the game
  2. Paid Content that has already been used or partially consumed (including where ancillary benefits have been used)
  3. Where an act deemed to constitute use has occurred, such as opening content whose utility is determined upon opening
  4. Other cases prescribed as grounds for restricting withdrawal under applicable laws

(3) Content granted free of charge by the Company, such as event rewards and rewarded-ad rewards, for which the User did not directly pay consideration, is excluded from withdrawal.

(4) Withdrawal and refunds may be processed according to the refund policies and procedures of the Open Market operator through which the User paid. Where the Open Market operator's policies make it difficult for the Company to process a refund directly, the Company guides the User through the necessary procedures.

(5) Duplicate refunds are restricted where a refund through the Open Market operator and a refund claim against the Company overlap for the same payment.

(6) Withdrawal may be requested through the Support page or by email (support@craystream.com). Where the Company processes a refund directly, it refunds the payment within 3 business days from the date it confirms the User's intent to withdraw; where the refund is processed through the Open Market operator, that operator's procedures apply.

Article 19 (Cancellation of Payments by Minors)

(1) If a minor User makes a payment for Paid Content without the consent of their legal representative, the minor or the legal representative may cancel the payment.

(2) Notwithstanding Paragraph (1), cancellation may be restricted where the payment was within the scope of property that the legal representative permitted the minor to dispose of, or where the minor used deception to appear to be an adult.

(3) Whether a payment was made by a minor may be determined based on the Device, Account, and the named holder of the payment method used, and the Company may request documents evidencing minority from the person requesting cancellation.

Article 20 (Erroneous Payments)

(1) If an erroneous payment occurs due to a cause attributable to the Company, the Company refunds the full amount. If an erroneous payment occurs due to a cause attributable to the User, the reasonable costs of the refund may be borne by the User to the extent permitted by applicable laws.

(2) Due to the nature of in-app payments, confirming and refunding an erroneous payment may require the Open Market operator's confirmation and procedures, in which case the Company guides the User through those procedures.

(3) If the Company does not refund an amount that a User claims to be an erroneous payment, it informs the User of the reasons.

Article 21 (Refunds of Paid Content and Handling upon Service Termination)

(1) If a User requests a refund of the unused portion of Paid Content that the User directly purchased, the Company refunds it according to the standards set by applicable laws and the Content User Protection Guidelines, and may deduct refund fees to the extent those standards permit.

(2) Content granted free of charge by the Company, and portions already used of content for which withdrawal is restricted, are excluded from refunds.

(3) When the Company terminates the Service, it takes necessary measures, including refunds, in accordance with Article 13(2) and 13(3) for Paid Content that Users purchased but did not use (including Paid Content with a remaining usage period or with no fixed usage period).

(4) Even where a User's use has been restricted or the agreement terminated for violating these Terms, refunds of Paid Content that the User directly purchased and did not use are handled as prescribed by applicable laws.

Chapter 6. Termination and Restriction of Use

Article 22 (Termination by the User)

(1) A User may stop using the Service and terminate the use agreement (delete their Account) at any time, either through in-game features or by following the procedures on the Account & Data Deletion page.

(2) Upon termination, the User's game data (game records, held Content, etc.) is deleted, except for information the Company must retain under applicable laws and the Privacy Policy, and deleted data cannot be recovered. If a refund of Paid Content is needed, the User must proceed with the refund process before requesting account deletion.

Article 23 (Restriction of Use and Termination by the Company)

(1) If a User violates the obligations under Article 11 or interferes with the normal operation of the Service, the Company may restrict the User's use of the Service in stages — warning, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, or termination of the use agreement — according to the severity of the violation. However, where the violation is serious or repeated, or violates applicable laws, the Company may immediately impose a permanent suspension or terminate the agreement.

(2) When taking a measure under Paragraph (1), the Company notifies the User of the reasons, the type and duration of the measure, and how to file an objection, through in-game notices, email, or announcements. In urgent cases, notice may be given after the measure is taken.

(3) The Company may provisionally suspend an Account until an investigation into a suspected violation is complete. If the investigation finds no cause attributable to the User, the Company takes reasonable measures such as extending the usage period of time-limited Paid Content by the length of the suspension.

(4) Where a measure under Paragraph (1) is taken, Content, scores, or records obtained improperly through the violation, and Content granted free of charge, may be recovered or deleted.

Article 24 (Objections)

(1) A User who disagrees with a measure under Article 23 may file an objection through the Support page or by email (support@craystream.com) within 15 days of receiving notice of the measure.

(2) The Company responds with the result within 15 days of receiving the objection. If a response within that period is difficult, the Company informs the User of the reasons and the expected schedule.

(3) If the objection is found justified, the Company promptly cancels or modifies the measure or takes other necessary steps.

Chapter 7. Damages and Disclaimers

Article 25 (Damages)

(1) If the Company or a User violates these Terms willfully or negligently and thereby causes damage to the other party, the violating party is liable to compensate for that damage.

(2) Even where the Company is liable for damages, the Company is not liable for damage arising from special circumstances, indirect damage, or lost expected profits, unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

(3) If the Company receives a claim for damages, a lawsuit, or any other objection from a third party because a User violated these Terms or applicable laws, the User must indemnify and hold the Company harmless at the User's own responsibility and expense; if the Company is not held harmless, the User must compensate the Company for the resulting damage.

(4) If Paid Content directly purchased by a User is damaged, corrupted, or deleted due to a cause attributable to the Company, the Company restores it or provides equivalent replacement Content, and if restoration or replacement is impracticable, refunds the purchase price.

Article 26 (Disclaimers)

(1) The Company is not liable for damage incurred by Users due to any of the following, unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

  1. Inability to provide the Service due to force majeure such as natural disaster, war, power outage, or fire
  2. Interference with use of the Service due to causes attributable to the User (neglect of Device or Account management, violation of these Terms, etc.)
  3. Failures, suspensions, or policy changes of services provided by third parties such as telecommunications carriers, Open Market operators, Platform Operators, or advertising businesses
  4. Circumstances beyond the Company's control, such as the User's device or network environment
  5. Temporary suspension of the Service for unavoidable reasons such as maintenance announced in advance
  6. Disputes arising between Users, or between a User and a third party, through the medium of the Service
  7. Loss of game data used without Account linking, caused by deleting the game or changing, resetting, or losing the Device (Article 7(2))
  8. Failure to obtain scores, rankings, game results, profits, or other outcomes the User expected from using the Service

(2) The Company is not liable for damages in connection with the use of services or Content provided free of charge, unless otherwise specifically provided by applicable laws. However, this does not apply where the damage was caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

(3) The Company is not responsible for problems arising from a User's failure to install game updates, or from using the Service in environments not supported by the Company or the Open Market (arbitrarily modified devices, games installed through unofficial channels, etc.).

Chapter 8. Miscellaneous

Article 27 (Notice to Users)

(1) Where the Company gives notice to all Users, it may substitute individual notice by posting the notice on the website or on an in-game notice screen for at least 7 days. However, for matters that materially affect an individual User, the Company gives individual notice where practicable, such as through in-game notifications or the email linked to the Account.

(2) For Users whose individual contact details cannot be confirmed, such as guest accounts, posting under the main clause of Paragraph (1) may substitute for individual notice.

Article 28 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

(1) These Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

(2) If a dispute arises between the Company and a User in connection with the use of the Service, both parties consult in good faith to resolve it amicably. If the dispute is not resolved amicably, the User may apply for dispute mediation with bodies such as the Content Dispute Resolution Committee under the Content Industry Promotion Act or the Consumer Dispute Mediation Commission under the Framework Act on Consumers of Korea.

(3) If the dispute is not resolved through consultation or mediation and a lawsuit is filed, the competent court is determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act of Korea and other applicable laws.

Article 29 (Language and Translations)

These Terms are written in Korean. The Company may provide translations of these Terms (such as this English version) for Users' convenience; if there is any inconsistency between the Korean version and a translation, the Korean version prevails to the extent not contrary to applicable laws.

Addendum

  • These Terms take effect on 2026-08-18.
